Amplify Media is a small company dedicated to creating innovative tools for progressive candidates

and causes. Our mission is to help them maximize the impact of their online and TV advertising

spending.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our CTO in continuing to

develop our core in-house application. As the second engineer, you will have significant growth

opportunities to help shape the technical direction of the product.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve in-house software applications using PHP, React, jQuery,

javascript, mySQL, Postgres and other relevant technologies.

  • Collaborate with the CTO and other team members to design and implement new

features and functionality.

  • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and

scalability.

  • Write well-documented, clean, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and

company guidelines.

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure functionality

and reliability.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code

quality.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of professional software development experience, highly preferred having done

so with PHP.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design

patterns.

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AWS environment.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Knowledge of modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, or Yii) is a plus.
  • Experience with automated build and deployment tools a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
